I started at CrossFit Watford just after lockdown because my sister was a member and I needed some motivation after having my first son and also change in my fitness routine.
From my first class I was hooked, walking into a gym and seeing women as strong as men was incredible! I have also never been to such a welcoming gym before. I haven't once felt intimidated like I did in a regular gym the workouts were all scaled to meet my fitness level.
I was able to train the whole way through my pregnancy with my second son with the help and advice from all the lovely coaches, I recovered so much better second time too with the advice I had been given.
Here I am today 2 years after my second son the fittest, strongest and HAPPIEST I have ever been in my entire life,
I have made friends that I know will be friends for life and just couldn't recommend this gym enough.
I found CrossFit at a time when multiple injuries were keeping me out of the sports I had grown up with. The fact the coaches can scale and work around your injuries or limitations whilst still helping you progress, means I am able to keep myself in reasonable shape and train even when I have flair ups. Physically and mentally it was a game changer.
